Hello! My name is Reid Allen and I’m a up and coming graphic designer. I am passionate about my work and it shows through in my designs by the detail and care I up into them. I love to get my hands dirty and start with some rough sketches on paper, there is nothing better than a blank piece of paper and a pencil. I am very eager to join the industry and learn all that I can from all the amazing designers that are out in the world. I hope that we can have fun and make other people design problems go away together!

Poké Balls

Creating this GIF was a lot of fun because it was something I’ve never done before and I got to incorporate my love for Pokémon in a fun and creative way. What is a GIF? a short video starting and edging with the same frame, and that is exactly what I did. My GIF was comprised of different type of Poké balls rolling, falling and jumping in and out of frame to create an eye catching GIF that Pokémon fans can really appreciate.

The goal of this project was to create an easy to read and nice to look at menu for a restaurant while staying in cohesion with the existing brand. By using colours, symbols, and type effectively I was able to create a menu that was easy to navigate while keep the integrity of a well designed menu that customers would love to hold in their hands.

Rideau River Provincial Park Logo Redesign

A close friend of mine works for Rideau River Provincial Park and he came to me asking for a redesign of their logo. After many sketches and lots of back and forth I was able to take his ideas and turn them into a beautiful, clean, yet subtle logo that him and his stall have pride wearing on their uniforms everyday.
