Zoé Laflamme! I am a young at heart, third year graphic designer, who loves to bring fun and excitement into my designs. I have a background in exploring all sorts of media. From animation, to illustrations, to arts and craft, and now graphic design, I am a bit of a jack of all trades. I’ve always been an imaginative and creative individual who loves surrealism and embraces the fun and artistic part of life, and now wishes to apply that to my work wherever possible.
I chose to conceptualize a video game speed-running tournament that would be associated with the non-profit organization, The War Amps, in order to gain attraction to it's cause. The bright and energetic design of the characters and colors would reflect the theming of video games graphics, and would bring excitement for any video game fans to come and join the tournament.
I created my branding's logo that would represent my love for fantasy and fiction, by following a magical aspect to my last name, Laflamme. I designed a vector of a flame that looks surreal with it's waves and curves, like a wisp. I used a bright and whimsical color palette that would represent my brand and my personality as an artist, vibrant, soft and elegant. The font used, Oskar, follows the tone of magical yet modern and clean.
I created a ready for print Dungeon and Dragons half-letter size guide to help new players understand the basic of the game’s combat mechanic. Following my own brand’s design, the 8.5 x 5 inch guide explains and shows the actions and possibilities players can do during battle encounters, making it easier for them to understand the rules, and helping speed up combat for Dungeon Masters.
